Dawn of the Dead - Ten Years of Zombie Nation

Zombie Nation have been around for a bloody long time and seem to keep releasing absolute bangers. Florian Senfter released his first EP under the Zombie Nation alias ten years ago and on that EP was the original of the tune below Kernkraft 400. This timeless tune, even back then, was remixed from another song created 15 years earlier for a Commodore 64 game Lazy Jones by David Whittaker called "Stardust".

Since this first EP Zombie Nation has released four albums and numeorus remixes. I was unlucky to miss Zombie Nation last weekend at the Stereosonic festival but will def check him out next time he is over. The other tune below Worth It is a single from his latest album Zombielicious released earlier this year.

Check out both these tunes as well as the album Zombielicious.

Classixx remix Yacht

YACHT was formed in 2008 by Jona Bechtolt and Claire L. Evans and is currently signed to DFA records with the likes of Holy Ghost! and LCD Soundsystem. Since releasing their album Mystery Lights earlier this year these guys have been ripping it up all over the world.

The track below is a fun remix of their massif tune Psychic City by one of my favourite groups, Classixx. Yacht will be playing at Oxford Art Factory in Sydney on the 15 of December so definately check them out. Still waiting for Classixx to come however..

Riton on the way to Sydney for Field Days

Riton is a producer/DJ who hails from Great Britian and is the man behind the record label Switch Recordings.

I found a couple of mean tunes by this guys and thought it rather fitting to post him as the songs are sick and he will be here in Sydney in January for Fuzzy's super new years kick off festival Field Day. Check these tunes and get a ticket to field days.

After a brief hiatus i give you Yuksek

Geez not having internet at home at the moment makes it hard to keep up the blogging. After a bit of a break i thought i'd better come back with a few posts and plenty of hot tunes to tickle the ear drums.

The first couple of tunes are remixes by one of my favourite artists. I first saw Yuksek live this year up in Byron Bay at Splendour in the Grass and this dude blew me away. He was a one man show tearing up the sounds waves and had the crowd going mental. The first remix is a mean new remix of a tune off Prodigy's latest album Invaders Must Die.

Invaders Must Die - The Prodigy (Yuksek Remix)
(Highly Recommended)

The second is a bit more mellow and a bit more discoy, if thats even a word and is a remix of Amanda Blank's tune Shame on You, Check it.

Dj Zinc's new gig, Crack House E.P

I remember back a few years ago at one of my first DnB gigs, seeing a stand out dj who performed one of the coolest gigs i had been to. Dj Zinc was a stalwart in the industry, respected as one of the top producer/live djs, and the brains behind the major label Bingo Beats.

That was three years ago, now a days Zinc has grown and evolved from DnB explaining that he had become frustrated at trying to fill full sets with DnB that he wasn't into, so looked for another direction. The result? A somewhat new genre Crack House, which is the name of his recently released E.P.

Crack House seems to cross over alot more into the Electro/Tech House genre whilst bringing with it some of the best of DnB's grimey bass and wobbly basslines. Crack House has been released on Bingo Beats and features some big guest appereances by the likes of Benga, No Lay, Sweetie Irie, and Angela Hunte.

The album seems to be attracting interest from the many in the genre, not surprisingly of all is Fake Blood. Grab the album now from beatport and for a taster check out the tunes below.

Partay! Williregretit has launched!

Well, i spoke of this for a long time, and today i gave myself the kick up the ass i needed to get it started.

So here we are, the Williregretit blog, here you will find a plethora of information on local Sydney and international music, gigs, and just random shit.

I wanted to create a place which would focus on giving up-and-coming artists a platform to spread their music as well as fill the the void of boredom i (and hopefuly others) feel each day. The door is always open to others who feel they have anything valuble to contribute, and if you have issues with anything on this blog just flick me an email.

Please excuse the current lack of creative flair, as it is currently a work in progress and hopefully i will get this updated soon.

Thanks for visiting and come back for more updates soon.
