I dislike the original due to its constant hammering on numerous commercial radios stations, and also the jukebox at work for that matter. But this is breath of fresh air on a rather foul stench of a song. Do not know who this is by, but apparently is taken from a Random Movement mix.
Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (T-E-E-D) has caused quite a stir over the last year. With the release of his re-breakout tune Garden he has blown up on the blog circuit. He has been remixed by the likes of Calibre, Jessie Rose and Soul Clap and will be gracing us with his presence down under this summer. His latest tune Dream On is an absolute banger and was featured in the Friday tunes a couple of weeks back. You can also find this below again for your listening pleasure.
If you haven't guessed already, I'm a mega fan of SBTRKT. Just stumbled upon this epic mix live from the iTunes Festival in London. Its a little old, recorded in July, but fucking epic. If you are seeing him when he tours with Laneway in February, pop this on your iPod and get excited.
You
may have heard recently of a relatively new Electro/Dubstep outfit
called Knife Party who have been generating waves in the music scene of
late. What you may not have known, and what only came to light to me
through my research is that Rob Swire and fellow member Gareth
McGrillen, of Pendulum fame, are the ones behind this tasty little side
project. Totally separate from their Pendulum endeavours, these guys are
following on in the footsteps of producers such as Feed Me, who himself
is the side project of D'n'B producer Spor.
A random
fact - The name of the side project was used as a reference to the song
of the same name by the metal band the Deftones, of which Pendulum are
fans.
Check out a few of their remixes below and look out for their free EP 100% No Modern Talking.
This is very exciting news for any DnB heads out there. BCee has just released the Beat the System
LP through his very own Spearhead Records and we have the whole album here, streaming live
for your listening pleasure. Sit back, click play and thank your lucky stars.
If you haven't heard this yet, get it. This is Tensnake at his best. A silky smooth summer mix that is
bound to get you in the mood. What mood? What ever mood you need to be in. Take a listen and find
out for yourself. Listen to it below or hit the download link below and bang it on your iPod.
