Jaime XX - Mix for Colette

Jaime XX (Jamie Smith) is a super talented producer from London, you may think he's trying to piggy back on the success of one famous band at the moment with his last name. The truth is he is the backbone to the XX and the one responsible for their unique smooth sound.

If you haven't heard of the band The XX you may as well have been been living under a rock for the past year. These guys have blown up since the release of their debut album xx, with awesome tunes such as Islands, Crystalised and Basic Space.

Jaime XX remixes are highly unique ranging from Dubstep to Hip Hop. The mix below which he compiled for fashion boutique Colette is a range of tunes that most likely influence his style. The mix contains a range of dubstep, UK garage mixed with some London hip hop. This is definitely worth checking out.

Underworld Channelling the Drum & Bass world

Underworld are back and releasing a brand new album this year. The album details are yet to be confirmed but there has already been a surprise collaboration which has come about with the release of their first tune of the album.

Underworld have enlisted the services of Cardfiff Drum n Bass producer High Contrast to help produce the tune. Underworld will be back down under in a few weeks Headlining the We love Sounds festival tour in Auckland on the 4th June, Perth 6th June, Sydney 12th June, Melbourne 13th June and Adelaide on the 14th June. Sorry Canberra and Brisbane you don't make the cut unfortunately. More details can be found at the We Love Sounds website.

The new release is a new direction for the guys and it will be interesting to see how the live show incorporates this new direction. There aren't many new Check out their new site here and check them out at We Love Sounds.

Aeroplane, New Album Dates, New May Mix, New Remix

Been a while since i posted a monthly Aeroplane mix so thought i would jump back on the band wagon. These guys announced the release date of thier eagely anticipated next album which will be launching in Europe September 6. Can't wait for this, and the release of their Remix of Breakbot's mega tune Baby i'm Yours.

Junior Boys Remix Fun

Junior Boys have been one of my favourite groups for a few years now. This dynamic duo hailing from Canada wip out tunes which have a super unique sound and awesome vocals. For these guys were a stand out at last years Parklife festival in Sydney with their live show sounding just as good if not better than the album.

Junior Boys have released 3 studio albums, the latest Begone Dull Care is a stand out and a must listen. These guys are no doubt working on a new studio release but to hold us over until then they have been working on a couple of remixes to keep us keen. Below are a couple of remixes, one of new super group Caribou and the other a remix of the Stars new tune Sleep Tonight. If you like these tunes buy them and support the Junior Boys
