Joker Essential Mix - 19 November 2011
Completely missed this one. Whilst stumbling through the backlog of recent BBC Essential Mixes low and behold i came across this little gem from a couple of weeks back. Here is the BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix for the big guy Joker. I had the pleasure of meeting this guy recently at a 44 Bondi Rd special ft Little Dragon and he was a pretty cool guy. His music is out of this world though, and i remember seeing him for the first time at Days Like This, seeing this giant hovering over these seemingly minuscule turntables but performing with such skill and care. He also performed this year before Feed Me at Fields Days and had the crowd going absolutely mental. If you have the opportunity to see him, do it. Expect something similar to the below.

Wilkinson - RAMM109 - Tonight / Pistol Whip
Wilkinson is one of the more recent additions to the Ram Records, the label begun by DnB godfather Andy C. Wilkinson initially broke onto the scene with a few songs passed on to
Hospital Records via Cyantific, which led to his first release on Hospital
Recordsʼ Sick Music 2 compilation.
His next breakthrough was a meeting with Andy C after he sent through a folder of songs to the label in 2010. He was lucky enough to have a few of his songs on Andy Cʼs Nightlife 5
album which is a sure fire way to get people putting your songs on repeat.
He has since remixed for the likes of Chase & Status and Example and is currently working on production projects for new Mercury Records signing JayʼElleʼDee and Island Records artist Jess Mills.

Scion A/V Presents: Skream & Benga Free EP download
Thanks to Inthemix for putting me onto this one. Skream and Benga, the guru Dubstep Producer's/DJ's who helped define the genre as well as make up two-thirds of the hit group Magnetic Man, have teamed with Scion A/V to release a free EP for your listening pleasure.
You can catch these boys touring with the RnV crew this summer, playing at both Rhythm and Vines and Rhythm and Alps, its going to be massive and well worth checking out. For those in Aus, they will be at Fields Days in Sydney as well as touring with the Summadayze festival. Download the tunes at the link below and support the boys.
Koreless - the future
I can't find too much on this guy, only a small bio from last.fm which you can find below. His music speaks for himself though. Compared to artists such as Four Tet, James Blake and SBTRKT his tunes often contain soothing vocals over a deep rolling 2-step beat. While the below music is not exactly freshly released, it will give you a taste of what is in-store from this guy in the future.
"At nineteen years old, Glasgow based producer Koreless somehow creates a sense of space in his music that some spend a lifetime trying to achieve. He’s so young but the music feels mature. Koreless throws his beats against a beautifully woven tapestry of ambiance, it’s like they bounce off that, then cascade straight across your cerebellum"......... Deep

Shame On You (Hey Now Remix) - Shame On Me
Shame On Me
is the music/art project of Joy and Cara, formerly of alternative pop group
Dats The Crux.
They liked
the thought of a radio announcer saying, “coming up is... Shame On You by Shame
On Me."
Photographer
Natasha Cantwell took photographs of the girls with monobrows and black
skivvys, and they wrote the song to match the exhibition. Check out the rest of their tunes and their latest one Mosquito which is coming out soon.
Below is a remix of the their tune Shame on You by Hey Now (Yuhei Kudo). Love the remix and Yuhei Kudo's other tunes as well. Look out for a separate feature in the coming days to hear more of this Christchurch producer's stuff.
